The turmoil of the markets and the state of the economy have an impact on every aspect of American business and life. What can or should employers be doing?
Please join us for a candid discussion on how employers can work through the issues surrounding these most unusual economic times. We have brought together a group of speakers to share with you their insights on what employers should be aware of, how employers can assist employees in dealing with work and life issues, and ideas on actions employers can take to help ensure a strong work force.
Agenda
An Unsettled Workplace. A discussion by Dr. Jackie Vice-Black, a human resources and management consultant, will provide insight on leadership in challenging and changing times — understanding employee reactions and what companies can do to help employees deal with significant changes in the workplace as well as in their personal life, such as possible job loss, restructuring and financial concerns.
The Legal Environment. A panel discussion by three Potter Anderson & Corroon partners — Jennifer Brady, Kathleen McDonough and Wendy Voss — will cover issues of concern from a legal perspective, including an overview of best practices and risk management for workforce reductions, the potential for increased filing of workplace litigation, and guidance for managing employees with stress-related conditions.
There is no fee to attend the program. Please make a reservation for planning purposes by calling Amy Olin at 302 984 6031 or by emailing aolin@potteranderson.com by Thursday, November 6.
