Potter Anderson & Corroon Partner Donald Wolfe Named Among Top 500 Leading Lawyers in America by Lawdragon Twelve attorneys named finalists October 24, 2008
Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Donald J. Wolfe, Jr., a partner practicing in the area of business litigation, has been named among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America for 2008. Profiles of all Lawdragon 500 members will be published in the magazine's January 2009 issue and a complete listing is available at www.lawdragon.com.
Mr. Wolfe is chair-elect of the firm and concentrates his practice on corporate litigation in the Court of Chancery and on counseling boards of directors and special board committees of Delaware corporations with respect to issues of fiduciary duty and internal corporate governance. This is the third year in a row he has been named to the Lawdragon 500 list. He was also included in the Lawdragon 500 Leading Dealmakers in America in 2007.
In addition, 12 Potter Anderson partners were recognized as finalists: David B. Brown, Matthew E. Fischer, Michael D. Goldman, John F. Grossbauer, Richard L. Horwitz, John E. James, Kathleen Furey McDonough, Mark A. Morton, Kevin R. Shannon, Laurie Selber Silverstein, Michael B. Tumas and Scott E. Waxman. Finalists represent a group of 2500 chosen from more than 20,000 distinguished attorneys around the country nominated by their peers and the Lawdragon editorial staff.
The Lawdragon 500 were selected based on a proprietary system that takes into account dozens of qualifications that are scored to determine the best lawyers nationwide. Among the factors utilized in the list's selection are extensive research by a staff of award-winning journalists who interview thousands of lawyers nationwide and a survey of lawyers and general counsel who nominate and vote for their peers online.
First published in 2005, the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America recognizes lawyers from a wide range of practices, as well as in-house counsel, law professors, judges and neutrals, government attorneys, and public interest lawyers. According to Lawdragon, those named to the list represent less than one-half of one percent of the legal profession, placing them among the most elite group of legal professionals.
